Fantastic Florida!

Today we went to my friend's house for a Fantastic Florida Play date. We read this really cute Florida ABC book, it's called S is for Sunshine by Carol Crane. This book is now on my MUST buy list! It has great pictures of things in Florida along with some history.

M made these super cute cookies in the shape of Mickey Mouse and Florida. We had orange juice to drink with our yummy cookies.

Next, we made space jars, since there are space shuttles in Florida. The kids took baby food jars and put in it blue water, star confetti (for stars), circle confetti (for planets), and crumpled up pieces of foil (for asteroids). They turned out cute!

Aidman was at school, so he didn't get to go. He is so into social studies and different states right now that after nap we will be doing more Florida stuff, I'll keep you posted if I come up with something cute.
