I have a 4 year old!

Prissy Lyssy had her 4th Birthday yesterday! I am so very very blessed to have 2 beautiful, happy, and healthy children! Lyssy is a light in our world, she is full of laughter and sunshine! She is crafty and full of spunk! She is prissy, yet can keep up with her big brother. She is shy at first and then will talk your ear off. I love her so!

See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil

Today's Saturday Picture Surprise hosted by Pigpen to Paradise is July 2007 picture 16.

I AM one of those mamas.... ya know, the one that LOVES to get pictures of her kiddos crying! Lyssy was 1 1/2 here. I was trying to compile a photo shoot for some cool scrapbook paper I had found. After a while she wasn't having it any more.

The photo shoot was...

Saturday Picture Surprise- March 08

I found this new blog carnival today through Funny Days with Mommy and Maddie today. It is Saturday Picture Surprise hosted by From Pigpen To Paradise. The point of this carnival is to look back thorough all those photo files stored on your computer (that you never get a chance to look at) and spend a few minutes reminiscing. I'm very lucky because my computers screen saver shows random pictures and I LOVE looking at them, but it is so quick and random that sometimes I don't know what the pictures are from. So I am really going to enjoy participating in this.

This weeks Picture Surprise is March 08 picture 56. I actually didn't have a March 08 folder because I was between cameras at that time, so here is the last picture in my February folder.

Lyssy had just turned 2. She was playing in our back yard on one of the swings. I love her little pigtails.

More Swim Lessons

Wonder what we've been up to? Lyssy and AB started their swim lessons this week. They are both doing much better than I thought they would! Lyssy has been super excited about the whole thing and it's just really funny watching her.

For the girls, the swim lessons will take 10 minutes a day for 4-6 weeks, but by the end they will be swimming on their own and able to save themselves if they ever fall into water.

We took this week off from doing our letter lessons, so that I could get used to the schedule change, but we only have 3 letters left (Ii, Aa, and Xx) so we will be getting back to it next week!

Oh, I've also been preparing for Aidman's birthday party that is next week, I can't wait to show off some of the fun things for that!

Fairy Gardens

Today we went to a Fairy Garden Playdate at my friend M's house (she host a gardening playdate once a month).

Several of the little girls dressed up like fairies. Lyssy and AB wore tutus that my sister made and little fairy wings that I made. I used a wire clothes hanger, knee highs, ribbon, and glitter glue to make them, it was pretty easy.

The girls LOVED dressing up like fairies!!!

We took a fairy flannel book to read. I'll post the name of it later, I left the book at M's house.

We hunted for a special fairy house.

Then we made a fairy garden. Each child was given a shoe box size plastic container with soil, a mini bird house ($1 at Michaels), a rock, a shell, stones, feathers, stickers, butterfly confetti, glittler glue, grass seeds, and alfalfa seeds.

Lyssy is painting the house with glitter glue.

Here is her finished product.

This is what it will look like in a week or two.

We even got some flying practice in!!

Tea Party Fun

Here is all the FUN things we did at Pryssy Lyssy's Tea Party!
Of course we had tea, muffins, finger sandwiches, sconces, fruit, and CAKE!
We decorated goodie bags and filled them with fun things.

We made our own bead necklaces!

And we had a dress up station! My sister made these CUTE little tutus, and I borrowed a bunch of outfits from a local dance studio that my friend works at, and I got a bunch of stuff at the Dollar Tree.

Needless to say, the kiddos had a GREAT time with all the fun activities.

Tea Party Decor

I LOVE planning fun parties for my kiddos. Today was Prissy Lyssys's 3rd Birthday and we had a tea party. It was ALOT of fun to plan and decorate for! I am super TIRED now, but it was well worth it!!
Here is a canopy to transform our backyard into a tea garden.

I went ahead and had the tables ready for the kiddos. It was set just like any fancy tea house, except for the fact that we used paper plates.

I made these CUTE tissue paper flowers for the centerpieces.

I must say that I impressed myself with the cuteness of this! I really did LOVE it and hope everyone else did too! And aside from my "Grown Up" fit (like the one a 3 year old would throw) this morning when the wind kept knocking down my canopy, the day was wonderful (thank God that Eric figured out a better way to do the canopys and the wind cooperated for the party!).

1st Haircut

Pryssy Lyssy LOVES going to the hair salon to watch Aidman get his haircut (he has to go often), and for awhile now she has wanted to get her hair cut too. I promised her that she could get it cut on her 3rd birthday (since it was FINALLY growing), so she has been so excited for her birthday to roll around. All day she's been saying "I take my haircut today".
My Bald Beauty on her 1st Birthday!
She's got some hair on her 2nd Birthday.
Here she is getting her hair done at "Mommy's Salon". As her usual self, she was shy and nervous at first, but as the haircut progressed she got more and more excited and proud.

Look at that head full of freshly cut hair on her 3rd Birthday!!

PaRtY Planning!!

How do I get myself into these CrAzY parties?? I swear, everytime I go to throw one of my kiddos a party it turns into this crazy over done thing. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE doing and planning it all, which is why it ends up this way. I get too excited while my kids could care less!!

Prissy Lyssy's 3rd birthday is in 2 weeks. She has requested a tea party. I actually tried to get her to change the theme so that it would easily accomidate more people but she wasn't having that. So a GIANT tea party it is!!

Here are my plans... Kiddie tables set up in the back yard. Pink and Purple color scheme (Prissy Lyssy's request). I giant canopy over the tables. Quilts hung on the clothes line to act as a dressing room for ALL the dress up clothes and hats. Tissue paper flowers as the centerpieces. Yummy food set up. Cute tea cups for each child. And MUCH MUCH more!!

I will update with pictures after the party.
