Kids in the Kitchen

The other day I was feeling very very bored, which doesn't happen very often. I needed something to do with myself. So I decided to try out a new recipe, which is one of my very favorite things to do! Of course the kiddos HAD to help!

What did we make? Carrot Cake! You MUST try this recipe! It was so very very good and very very easy!

Sorry, I didn't get very good pictures this time.

Go check out more Kids in the Kitchen.

That recipe does sound good. Did you follow the recipe as is or did you make any changes? I noticed that a lot of the reviewers made changes.

I didn't add nuts, but that was my only change and it was fantastic! Next time I will add the nuts though. Next time I will also probably sub some applesauce for some of the oil because it was on the verge of tasting oily.

Also, I only used 3 cups of confection sugar in the frosting and it was more than enough, best cream cheese frosting ever!

Just popped over from the We Teach board. Yummy Carrot Cake! I haven't made a carrot cake in a long time. Guess now I will have to.

I look forward to following your blog!

I love carrot cake, what a great way to spend time filling in a morning and then you get to enjoy your efforts with a yummy piece of cake.

My little boy is also obsessed with dogs, so I enjoyed reading your ideas for learning more about dogs.

We have the opposite situation here in Australia, I am waiting for it to cool down a bit, before we take advantage of the weather to do more outdoor activities, such a painting al fresco. At the moment, it is still way too hot to be outside after about 9ish in the morning and before 4:30 in the afternoon. We usually play outsdie in the early hours of the morning and pop out again just before dinner.
