Kids in the Kitchen~ Dinner Time Fun

Last night the kiddos and I cooked dinner together. We made chicken tenders, yam yums, and strawberry kiwi smoothies.

Lyssy crushed the corn flakes.

Aidman mixed 1 part mayo to 1 part Dijon mustard to dip the chicken in.

I have the creeps about the kiddos touching meat so I did that part.

We baked them at 450 for 20 minutes.

We used metal cookie cutters to cut the sweet potatoes.

Aidman brushed a maple syrup mixture on top of the sweet potatoes. We really need to get a non-grilling basting brush. We baked them at 450 for 10 minutes.

What a yummy dinner!

The sweet potatoes are so cute and look yummy! Hmmm...I wonder if I could my picky eater to eat those in the shape of a heart?! Maybe the syrup would be the extra push she needs. ;-)

I love the idea of using a fun shaped cookie cutter to cut the potato!
