We were sitting at the table eating snack and talking about what everyone wanted to do this week when it started raining. Laneybug said "oh, we could dance in the rain when it's not thundering and lightning". I looked out the door and saw that it wasn't thundering or lightning so I told the kids they could go right then. They were SO excited and surprised!
They did more running than dancing, but they loved every single minute of it. Sadly, it only rained for about 15 minutes. As soon as it was over they started singing "rain rain come again", it was really cute.
I love the simple sweet joys of childhood.

It is supposed to rain here for the next few days and you just gave me a great idea. I am so much more relaxed with my 3rd child than I was with my 1st. I would prob. never let my daughter play in the rain but with my son I let him put on his rubber boots and jump in puddles on our driveway. Go for it. Who cares. Right?
